The famous Google Webmasters was re-branded on May, 2015 and took the new name to become Google search console. It’s actually a tool for Google to communicate with the Webmasters. That means, its a tool that helps you monitor and maintain your site presence in Google search results. Let’s have a brief discussion of what Webmaster or search console is and how to use it.
Well, the Webmaster tool is to analyze your site and provide information of your site. For example, if your site is infected by malwares, Google search console will inform you ( there is a section named malware for checking) . All you need is to create a Google account to use the Google Search Console. This tool is very useful to Web developers, site administrator, SEO specialist and even for application developer. Search console allows you to check what’s going on with your website and helps you decide whats good for the site.
To use and get access to data for your site, you must make sure that you are authorized for the site. For that you need to go through verification process. There are 5 ways for that.

HTML file Upload:
Here Google will provide you with a named file which you have to add in the root of your site. After doing so just click on verify.
Google will provide you a Meta tag which you have to use on the head of your site’s homepage. If you by mistake remove the tag from the page later on, you have to verify your site again!
Domain Name Provider:
In this method, you have to choose your domain provider from a list and you will be guided to finish the verification process.
Google Tag Manager:
Its an automatic process where Google tag manager will verify your site.
After verification you will be able to access the dashboard where you can see statistics for your site. The data loading might take some extra time. How many links a visitor has went through to visit your site will can be told by crawl rate. Also Google spider can sort any kind of problems which is not visible to you and inform you about them.
