The tech giant has grown and changed a lot since it’s founding in 1998, and there’s a lot of history packed in those years, some of which might surprise you.  Today we are going to share with you some interesting facts about Google, which you may not know yet.

  1. Google was first originally named as ‘Backrub‘.
  2. Google was first launched in 1995 as a research project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin Ph.D. students at Stanford University.
  3. The domain is registered on September 15th,1997. The name ‘Google’ is actually derived from the mathematical term ‘googol’ which is basically 1 with 100 zeros following it, reflects Larry’s and Sergey’s ambition to organize a seemingly infinite volume of information on the Web.
  4. Currently, Google can analyze around millions of pages a second, whereas it is 30-40 pages at initial days.
